What inspired you to join AMP, and what do you enjoy most about your role?
I joined AMP in 2022 because I was really drawn to a company that had ambitious plans to grow fast in such a specialised, niche sector. It felt like the perfect opportunity to be part of something that was growing with real momentum.
What I enjoy most about my role is working with a genuinely great team in a fun but challenging environment. No two days are ever the same, which keeps things interesting and means I’m constantly learning and solving new problems.
What unique skills or strengths do you bring to our team?
I’d say my biggest strengths are my experience in the insurance industry combined with the ability to stay calm and composed when tackling complex problems or making tough decisions. I’ve learned how to cut through the noise, keep a clear head under pressure, and bring people together to find practical solutions.
How do you stay updated with industry trends or developments in your field?
I stay on top of things by being really active on LinkedIn and make sure I follow pages and people relevant to our niche sector so I’m seeing regular updates every day. I also make a point of attending relevant webinars and seminars whenever I can. It’s important to me to keep learning and understand where the industry is heading.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time, and how does it influence your work?
Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my wife and kids, playing football with my team, and occasionally jumping into a game of Call of Duty.
Being actively involved in a football team has really sharpened my teamwork and communication skills, both of which I bring into my role every day as Head of Healthcare. It also gives me that important headspace to switch off, reset, and come back to work fresh and focused.
